TAILS:
Due to the closeness of some sheep to their
Parent Breeds and the various domestic sheep used to create the sheep, the Corsican Family of Sheep can have varying tail
lengths. The tails should not be docked and actually do not need to be docked as
some are very short and they tend to stay much cleaner than the wool
sheep tails.
|

The ewe in the middle is classified as a "corsican" and has a
lot of Mouflon in her and has a shorter tail than the two
Painted Desert Ewes.

This ewe is high content mouflon - observe the short tail which
is just a little longer than the pure Mouflon Ewe to the right

This is a pure Mouflon Ewe. The tail is extremely short and has
not been cropped.
